Welcome skippers to a new decade where we look forward to the Marblehead class continuing to offer the best racing experience that radio sailing has to offer
What better way to confirm this than to get involved and enter the upcoming World Championship to be held on UK waters this coming June at West Kirby on the Wirral peninsula.
All UK skippers looking to take part are reminded that initial entries close on the 13th of February so dont delay in getting your interest to enter to the MYA International Officer Phill Holiday well before that date. Entries will then be selected in order of UK Ranking for the number of places we are allocated, with any further places that become available dependent on how many allocated entry slots are taken by overseas skippers. So the key here is no matter how many ranking points you have, even if you have none, get your expression of interest in for the best chance to be in line for entry selection…
If you are a non UK overseas skipper reading this, be sure to get your entry in to your own National Authority (IRSA DNM) so that they can validate and forward this on to the event organisers before the closing date.
All details are available on the Worlds website so don’t miss out on what promises to be another addition of the best in radio sailing doing battle. With strong interest received to date from skippers in class strongholds in Australia, UK and Europe, a return from the USA team and the welcome additions of China and Singapore, 2020 at West Kirby promises to be a truly global International event.
See you there!
